Following from the Introductory Remarks given in the first writing, let us continue, first by asking an interesting question. Did you know that the Word of God in reality is the Constitution of the Kingdom of God, in the earth realm? Yes, the Holy Bible is the living Word of God, our creator that’s ordained to bring us comfort, direction, correction and guidance.
The Holy Bible (Word of God), is not another Book, not a religious totem, talisman, nor applied craftily to confirm our predisposed positions or personal perspectives. It is not to be used to manipulate people – including our spouses or children to do our biddings.
The word works best to deliver the divine outcomes when we develop the consciousness that it expresses the mind of Elohim not just for yesterday or tomorrow, but also a book of guidance and instruction for everyday living. We need to be in a frame of mind that Elohim wants us to prosper in a holistic way and enjoy the fruits of Calvary and that this is only possible when we know and live by His precepts.
Yahweh established this principle in His relationship with Israel in the Book of Deuteronomy 28:1-15. It is not enough therefore, just to study the word. Our whole attitude should be to hear from Yahweh our Father, receive His instruction on how to live a life that pleases Him and allow the word to determine our lifestyle. Any lifestyle that contradicts the word is simply an act of disobedience.
The principle in Deuteronomy 29:29 beckons on us therefore to lay hold of the body of Truth contained in the Holy Bible and see how they serve as documentation of Constitution of the Blessed Kingdom of Elohim in the earth realm. In all, they are designed to bring us into the Kingdom and to guide our walk therein in a way which will preserve us to enjoy the manifest phase to come as co-heirs with King Yeshua and spend eternity with Elohim – in fullness of His glory!
Humankind is three-dimensional comprising spirit, soul and body. Most times, saints concentrate so much of their energies in caring for their body
realms: what to eat, drink, wear, house to live in and job/business through which to earn income to perpetuate the cycle. The result is a basic tendency to carnal mindedness (as per Romans 8:5-9) which shows up in the quality of prayers of saints that Yeshua classifies as ‘Gentile’ oriented!
Matthew 6:31-34 (KJV) 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, ‘What shall we eat? or,’ What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly
Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
The word of Elohim is ordained to be used by Holy Spirit to feed, nurture and provide holistic nourishment for wellness of the two often ignored dimensions of life: the spirit-man (heart) and soul (Mind, Will & Emotions). In the spiritual realm, the heart is heart of the matter! If the heart (or spirit-
man) is healthy, the saint will be healthy. The original plan of Elohim has always been securely fixed: humankind is to live the Zoe or Elohim kind of life! It was for this reason that He gave a measure of His Spirit, represented by His Breathing life into the dormant form He moulded on the Day Adam was created.
Genesis 2:7 (KJV) 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
The redeemed are ordained to live that life where their spirit-man or heart is in total cahoots or alignment with He Who created them! He has therefore released the ministry of His Word to accomplish the union of our heart with His and by the conscience which is made to be alive. That was
the strong point Yeshua, Jesus made in John 15:1-8.
In the same way, state or health of the Soul realm (which is made up of the mind, will and emotion) determines depth of spirituality or otherwise.
Because the mind is the engine of the soul, what it thinks on and how it sees things will determine how the will and emotion respond to situations of life.
The plan of our loving Father is to give us the Word as an instrument of renewing the mind to see and think as He sees and thinks! In order to truly
transform the heart and renew the mind, the Word needs to be used by Holy Spirit to perform some specific and discernible assignments in lives. Let us hone in on some those assignments of the Word in the life of both sinners and saints. Praise the Lord.
